Molecular Earthing Bodywork

A relational, nervous-system-informed bodywork practice supporting sensing, choice, and connection.

Molecular Earthing is an adaptive, hands-on bodywork practice that meets the physical, physiological, emotional,
and relational realities of the body without deciding in advance which of them should lead.

You may arrive with physical pain, an injury, chronic tension, exhaustion, grief, emotional strain,
curiosity, or something that is difficult to name.

Some sessions become precise and physically focused.

Some become quiet and restorative.

Sometimes movement enters.

Sometimes emotion becomes part of what is being experienced.

Often the work moves naturally between these territories.

Through touch, conversation, observation, movement, and interoception — our capacity to sense what is happening within the body —
the session is shaped collaboratively around what is actually present.

The aim is not to force release, but to create conditions for greater capacity and integration.

How a session unfolds

Each session is shaped in relationship with the person who arrives.

There is no preset sequence and no expectation that the body will respond in a particular way. An intention may already be clear, or it may become clearer through the session itself.

The work can be understood through three simple movements: arriving, listening, and integrating.

1. Arrive

We begin with conversation and time to arrive.

You're welcome to come with an intention, known physical pain, an injury, exhaustion, emotional strain, a period of change, curiosity, or simply an experience that has been difficult to name.

IMG_3894_edited.jpg

The session naturally unfolds during the conversation. As we speak, there is time to notice how you are arriving.

The body and breath offer a starting point for perception.

Within the various approaches in my work can range from firm, precise, technical work to stillness and subtle touch, depending on what supports greater sensing and integration.

Sessions may unfold lying down, sitting, standing, or moving between these possibilities.

Accepting and being met where you are, whether emotional or physical can create enough confidence for deeper sensing to become possible.

Throughout the work, you remain part of what unfolds. The body and the breath are used as tools for conscious perception.

Consent continues and conscious choice can be followed, changed, paused, or left alone.

Somatic movement may be introduced where active participation helps the body sense shift, move, sense more or organise differently.

For others, the emotional or relational dimension is already close to the surface.

Neither is considered more advanced or more important.

The safe container is a priority over any intensity.

Sometimes the mind is ready to continue while the body becomes quieter or more hesitant.

At other times, sensation becomes clear before the mind makes sense of it

It's all about listening to your own body and allowing your own experience.

2. The Session
3. Ending of the session

Time is given at the end for integration. Conversation and water if needed to gradually transition back into life beyond the treatment space.

Rather than the practitioner being the only person interpreting what is happening, the session invites your own sensing to become part of the process.

A variety of releases may become part of the session.

Old tensions, emotions, protective patterns or ways of organising can sometimes become clear enough to soften, shift or let go.

Over time, the energy that has/had been misplaced in effort, compensation or protection may become available for other parts of the living body and life, including range of movement, relationships, attention, creativity, and other ordinary participations in life.

Sometimes what matters is simply being able to remain with an experience that previously felt too difficult, distant or unfamiliar.

This work is for people across many different walks of life — athletes, office workers, artists, business owners, practitioners, facilitators and space holders,

as well as people encountering bodywork or somatic practice for the first time.

"We can know how all the organs and tissues work, function, and relate. But we do not know the conditions they have experienced in the past, or what they had to meet before"

"This is why Molecular Earthing stays intuitive and in relational dialogue, listening for what the body is ready to reveal and discerning the feelings together."

Molecular Earthing has developed through personal lived experience, mental and physical well-being, over a decade of hands-on practice, rehabilitation, movement, and ongoing enquiry into how human beings organise physically, physiologically, emotionally, and relationally.

The work is informed by psychology, physiology (psychophysiology), Body anatomy, neuroscience, biomechanics, pain science and nervous systems, interoception, and principles of movement and physical mechanics.

These provide an evolving scientific bridge between influences including physiotherapy and osteopathic rehabilitation principles, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods, Intuitive healing, Feldenkrais, Tai Chi, Contact Improvisation, dance and relational practice, transformative bodywork, and working with world-leading somatic healers.

These disciplines are not applied as a collection of separate techniques. They inform a shared way of observing, listening, and responding to what is actually present.

Technical precision remains important.

So does listening.

The evolution of Molecular Earthing has come from recognising that the physical body cannot always be understood separately from the life moving through it.

"Bodywork is not only about fascia or technique.
It's about a meeting of life — in the body, in relationships, and in how one perceives and communicated life. In practice, I have repeatedly seen that when a person is met with enough physical precision, time and relational support, something begins to change in how they inhabit themselves. Whether mechanically, emotioanlly or physiological, Often the boundaries between these descriptions are less tidy in lived experience than they appear on paper.

Science, family, bodyworkers and client feedback are all helping Molecular Earthing exapand collective consciousness around the world, informing what the relationships between different disciplines have learned separately about the same human body.

Client Voices

“The session with Ryan was transformative. His ability to listen to the body’s needs is exceptional and led to a profound sense of release.”

These reflections are shared with humility and integrity — real voices from a shared somatic enquiry into the art of what it means to be alive together.

  • “As a bodywork therapist myself - from the beginning, Ryan’s presence carries genuine care and a deep respect for whatever is here. With him I feel seen, held, and truly looked after — human to human, heart to heart. That creates real safety in me: to be exactly as I am, to soften, and to let myself be supported. It has been profoundly nourishing for my nervous system.

On a physical level, Ryan has worked gently with my body, employing skeletal and muscle manipulation plus mobilisation of joints.

Energetically some moves are so light and gentle it hard to believe they have any effect, however, each time, I have felt energy move through me in ways I never experienced before.

It has been mind-blowing to feel and witness this happening...

  • ...in sessions, I’ve experienced release in many forms — tears, laughter, sounds, and spontaneous movements, big and small. And through all of it, Ryan stayed with me: steady, welcoming, and attuned. I felt safe every step of the way.

Ryan’s intuition is exceptional. Again and again, his touch and guidance met the exact areas in my body that have been painful, tight, or restricted.

After sessions, the aftercare is gentle and spacious, allowing time for integration and whatever needs to land.

I’ve noticed an increase in physical vitality, mental clarity, calmness, joy, and the quality of my sleep. I’ve also moved through meaningful emotional processing, insights, and revelations — a sense of more space within, and more ease without.

I recommend Ryan wholeheartedly. For me, his sessions have been something very new, an awakening, a release, and a welcoming into life again."

  • “I had a bodywork session with Ryan during a time when I was carrying a lot emotionally and physically. From the very beginning, he created a very safe and grounded container. The space was also beautiful and relaxing and nourishing and made sure I was completely comfortable before we began. He took the time to invite what was happening in my life and what I wanted from the session, and I felt met with genuine empathy, kindness and acceptance.

He began with a gentle pulsing touch at the centre of my abdomen, and I became very aware of how much tension and holding I

carry in my gut. I tend to store fear and

anxiety there, and it was powerful to feel that area soften and begin to move.

Throughout the session he worked intuitively with my body. I felt both deeply supported

    and gently guided.

One insight that stood out was his observation about my breathing pattern. Whether one interprets this physically, energetically or psychologically, it resonated as an invitation to soften and open rather than brace...

    1/2

  • ...Ryan appeared as a blessing in my life as I had been looking for help on my body for over 3 years. I have seen a lot of bodyworkers that temporarily relieve pain  but I was manifesting someone who does the real and deep work where the whole body and all the bodies are listened to. Ryan has certain gifts and he offers them with a rare purity. His work is a real powerful energetic journey; like a shaman, he handles his medicine with devotion and helps to reconnect the parts of oneself that no longer understand each other. By reopening the doors that we had closed, he supports the space so that we find the way between body and mind.

While I was coming urgently with a shoulder fully blocked by stress, I felt very quickly by his touch and his level of attention that I had found a very gifted man. He first worked on this part of the body with incredible mastery. His way of listening to the body is precise and subtle. For those who want to let themselves be seen and go do the work in depth, it is an intense introspective journey. Ryan holds the space with an absolute presence until the end always making sure to take us until where we want to go see and can go see. I felt help with his gentle attention, breathe the entire way through and I could feel that was the healing process.

Needless to explain that my shoulder had fully regained its mobility in two days. I had quickly given him my trust but all the same, I really didn't imagine healing so quickly, it touches on the miracle.

I quickly understood that I had found a rare pearl and we then explored the different wounds of my body that were waiting for the right interpreter to help me translate these aches. What he always did with kindness and compassion."

  • "At some moment, I felt myself teetering into tears, and then unexpectedly a deep, full laughter rose up from me. It felt like something long held had been released — as if a joyful part of me that had been braced through grief and endurance finally surfaced again. The experience was surprisingly freeing and deeply familiar,

like reconnecting with an old friend

    within myself.

Ryan held the space beautifully during that release. I felt respected, safe and encouraged throughout. His warmth and reflected joy made the experience even more meaningful.

I left feeling more peaceful, more connected to myself, and more in touch with my

    capacity for joy.

Overall, the session felt thoughtful, compassionate and skillfully held. I would

highly recommend Ryan to anyone seeking bodywork that integrates emotional awareness with physical presence in a safe and supportive environment...

    1/2

  • ...The sessions can be trying, it is certain that we go through a lot of emotions because we are there to regain our power and release what needs to come out and it is obvious that this requires investment. Fortunately, I think Ryan is the ideal intermediary, the channel of a dialogue between our mind, our cells and the universe at work(unfolding). His involvement and the energy he gives every time is phenomenal.

Finally, it is one of those men who work in consciousness to make the world healthier, more human, more collective, in mutual aid and absolute search to rise together. His vision is pure, benevolent and noble.

Connect with me

Molecular Earthing believes we should all have the opportunity to feel more at home in our bodies, more aware of what it is we need, and more able to communicate and meet life with clarity and care.

If this feels like a space where your body can be met, you are welcome to reach out with any questions or to begin our shared journey. This work is held with care, pacing, and presence, honoring the timing of your system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in a standard session?
Every session begins with a collaborative check-in to orient to your needs. Your choices and participation are part of the process; we work together to listen to what feels honest, supportive, and possible in the moment. From there we may move into sensing and awareness practices, gently working with what's present in the system to support safety and reorganization.

How long are the sessions?
Sessions range typically from 90 minutes up to 3+ hours. Longer sessions allow for a wider container and deeper integration, while the minimum 90-minute length ensures we have sufficient time for arrival and integration

“Could this be the right bodywork relationship for you?”
Safety is something we build and feel together. I have been working with bodies for over 11 years and have supported people across a wide range of ages, needs, and circumstances. That experience has taught me to pay close attention to subtle signals, to adjust when needed, and to recognise what feels supportive, integrative, and appropriate for the person in front of me.

If there is something specific to work around — such as a performance, recent strain, or a limited window for recovery — I adapt the intensity accordingly. I care deeply about pacing, choice, and whether your body is able to stay in contact with what is happening.

The clearest marker of safety is this: if something does not feel right, we pause. If a boundary appears, we respect it. If something is mis-timed, we repair it. The work is not about pushing through. It is about listening carefully enough that support can be real.

“Is this spiritual, medical, both, neither?”

It’s bodywork held in a grounded, nervous-system-informed, and relational way. Some people experience it in spiritual terms. Others experience it more physically or emotionally. I don’t require any belief system, and I’m not here to turn your experience into a story. My interest is in what can actually be felt, tracked, and responded to in the body. At times the work may feel subtle or difficult to explain, but it remains grounded in lived experience rather than ideology.

What if I feel nervous to try a session?

That’s completely okay. Feeling nervous is welcome here, especially if the work is new. We begin gently, with conversation and enough space to orient to what feels right for you.

How intense is it?"

A session isn’t always intense, and intensity is not a measure of success in my work. My priority is to meet your body, mind, and soul where you are, with respect for your capacity and pace. The session is only ever as intense as your system can meaningfully stay in relationship with — no more, no less.

Sometimes people think they want more, when what is actually needed is less. Some sessions are subtle and quiet. Others may be more vivid: heat, tingling, trembling, waves of emotion, or a deep settling. But intensity is never treated as the goal. In this work, “deep” means clear — clear consent, clear pacing, and clear contact. If intensity rises in a way that reduces choice, we slow down. The work is not about enduring. It is about staying in relationship with what is happening.

Is this work suitable if I have a history of trauma, and will I have to talk about it?

Yes. The work is nervous-system informed and trauma-aware, with pacing, consent, and relational safety as the foundation. You remain in choice throughout the process.

No — you do not have to tell me your story for the body to shift. Some people share very little. Sometimes a small amount of context is useful; sometimes silence is more supportive. We decide together.

If emotion or memory arises, we do not force catharsis or dig into the story. The priority is to stay present with the body, with choice intact. And if you do want to share, we can do so gently, without letting the story take over the nervous system.

WHAT IS IT THAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT MOLECULAR EARTHING

Molecular Earthing treats relationality as important as the techniques used to relief chronic tension.
What I often see across the spectrum is that people often improve structurally, while continuing to live under the same internal conditions that contributed to the tension, the karma, the exhaustion, overwhelm, disconnection, or contraction in the first place.
This work attempts new ways to inhabit what can become supportive to bring people back into their own experience of life, and back into consciousness itself.
